DisneyLife as it launched in November 2015.

In 2014, Netflix dominated streaming while Disney lacked a unified digital platform. My small-but-mighty labs team was tasked with developing a proof of concept for Disney's first streaming service.

With minimal specifications, my mission was to understand stakeholder and consumer expectations, while also helping our team form a product strategy we could deliver. To do this, I led requirements-gathering workshops to unify global stakeholders on a compelling vision, using service design assets like service blueprints to synthesize their requirements with consumer insights.

During our ambitious implementation phase, I created a robust design system & motion library that unlocked a scalable & delightful UI. I also served as the key information architect on the project, often having to untangle a puzzle of third-party systems to visualize the smoothest user experience possible for our login & signup flows.

DisneyLife launched successfully in the UK & Ireland in 2015 and in the Philippines in 2018. It served as the precursor to Disney+, now the world’s most successful dedicated streaming platform with over 146 million subscribers. The experience exemplified my ability to synthesize user insights & stakeholder requirements into a unified vision & deliver a product that was implemented successfully while also exceeding customer expectations.
